Millipedes

Millipedes are long, worm-like bugs with cylindrical bodies, antennae, and many pairs of legs. They are typically brown or black in color with lighter stripes. They secrete a stinky fluid that can be toxic to pets and give blisters to humans.

Millipedes are usually seen outside at night or in dark, damp spaces inside. They eat dead insects and decaying vegetation. If found inside, millipedes will only survive for a few days unless there is a significant moisture issue or ample food supply.

If you have a millipede issue, Bug Commander recommends addressing any moisture issues both inside and outside of your structure. This can include running a dehumidifier, fixing any leaking plumbing inside, and maintaining your lawn and landscaping.
