Pro Pests Package
Bug Commander’s (BC) Pro Pests Package prevents common bugs and common rodents from getting inside year-round and includes stinging pest nest control and removal (if possible). This package consists of four exterior treatments per year in the Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. Any active infestations must be excluded prior to starting this package. Windows do need to be treated to receive the full warranty.
Common bugs include: Ants (including carpenter ants), Asian/lady beetles, boxelder bugs, centipedes, clover mites, crickets, earwigs, flies (including cluster flies and drain flies), ground beetles, millipedes, silverfish, sowbugs, spiders, springtails, stinging pests (wasps, hornets, yellowjackets, etc.), water bugs, and western conifer seed bugs
Common rodents include: Mice, moles, rats, shrews, and voles
This service does not prevent bugs from landing on the treated building. However, this service can help prevent Mayflies and Fishflies from leaving a residue on treated buildings during hatches. Any common bugs that do land on the treated building will perish within two to three hours of doing so. It may take 3 – 5 days to notice a significant decrease in the common bug population trying to get inside.
What clients can expect before each treatment:
Prior to the first treatment, clients need to inform BC of any areas they do NOT want treated or how to access certain areas (Examples include not treating certain windows and providing locked gate access). BC will keep this information on file and will need to be notified of any changes moving forward.
BC will schedule this treatment and contact the client via email and/or text about a week prior to this service visit. Because of the many variables in the services BC provides, routes are scheduled to best accommodate BC technicians. Requests for specific days or times cannot be guaranteed, including being on the same rotation as a family member, friend, or neighbor. Upon request, BC’s technicians can call or text clients prior to arrival. If a warranty treatment is requested by the client for the interior or if a stinging pest nest is present, BC will inform their technician and reschedule if necessary.
BC is always watching the weather before, during, and after scheduled service visits. If rain, snow, wind gusts, or high heat are in the forecast, BC may move up the service, push the service to the following business day, or time out that service to avoid these conditions. The applied treatment does rain-cure once dry and will eventually wear off the after 60 days.
What clients can expect during each treatment:
- Please shut all windows and stay indoors during this service
- Please keep pets inside or put them away prior to service
BC’s technician will:
- Inspect the exterior
- Refill exterior bait stations
- Plug and patch any minor entry points using special foam, steel wool, rodent fabric, and caulking
- Spray window frames, door frames, foundation, eaves, peaks, decks, railings, and any other areas common bugs may try to get inside per the technician’s discretion
- Treat and remove (if possible) any stinging pest nests
Please note:
- Please wait until the treatment dries before returning to the treated area (this usually takes 30 minutes to 1 hour pending weather conditions).
- Treating windows may leave a cloudy waterdrop residue on the glass. Once the product dries, it can be wiped away. If a client chooses to wipe away any product on the glass, they should make sure to not scrub any treated areas on the trim or structure as that may render the treatment ineffective. Not treating windows may reduce the effectiveness of the treatment and may void the warranty.
- Clients are not required to be present during this service since the treatment is completed outside. BC’s technician will leave a doorhanger with more information after this service should the client not be present.
Important: BC’s rodent bait stations are locked and weighted with the bait secured inside. These stations are placed in specific locations for the best control. These stations should not be moved unless otherwise instructed by a BC technician. To maintain a safe environment, clients need to be mindful of where the bait stations are located and report any stations that are damaged. BC will remove and replace any damaged bait stations from these reports. Additional charges may apply for damaged equipment.
What clients can expect after each treatment:
To receive a warranty on this service, please do not clean treated areas for a minimum of 14 days. Doing so will render the treatment ineffective and void the warranty.
Clients may notice dead bugs along the foundation of their building. The bugs will eventually deteriorate, but they can be swept or blown away if desired.
Clients should expect a rodent-free structure should the structure be completely sealed and attractants are removed. If a structure is unable to be completely sealed, the client should still notice a significant decrease in the rodent population trying to get inside. Although this is a thorough process, long-term prevention services may be needed pending the integrity of the structure.
